Program Overview

From Here Onward is more than a shelter — it’s the first step forward.
We provide adults experiencing homelessness — with U.S. military veterans served first — a 72-hour stay that offers safety, dignity, and the chance to commit to long-term stability through the Do Good On Purpose housing pathway.

During their stay, residents receive:

A safe bed in a sober, supportive environment
Meals, laundry, and hygiene access
Daily case management and enrollment support
Help obtaining or replacing IDs and essential documents
Clear guidance into our Starter Village and Good Samaritan Village programs

How It Works – The 72-Hour Pathway

Day 1: Welcome & Screening
Residents are greeted with dignity, complete sobriety screening, and meet their case manager.
Day 2: Planning & Documentation
Residents work on securing identification, begin job readiness planning, and learn about the Starter Village.
Day 3: Commitment
Residents either enroll in Starter Village and begin onboarding or exit with referrals to other community resources.

In some cases, residents may be granted an extension if ID or Social Security documentation is in process.

Eligibility & Expectations

Who We Can Help:

Adults 18+ (no children housed at this shelter)
U.S. citizens with ID (or willing to work with us to obtain one)
Residents who are sober and agree to drug/alcohol screening
Residents committed to moving forward into Starter Village
Veterans are given priority

Who We Cannot Accept:

Anyone who refuses or fails drug/alcohol screenings
Anyone unwilling to commit to sobriety and participation
Anyone who cannot verify legal eligibility and refuses assistance
Anyone displaying violence, threats, or disruptive behavior

In some cases, residents may be granted an extension if ID or Social Security documentation is in process.
