What is HumanKind Helps?

HumanKind Helps is the structured service track inside the Do Good On Purpose Initiative. It is where participants actively earn their pathway to homeownership through meaningful volunteer service.

Every participant commits to 2,100 hours of supervised volunteer service, contributing to the community while building responsibility, discipline, and work ethic. Each hour served as a volunteer is not charity — it is a step toward dignity, stability, and ownership.

By design, HumanKind Helps is firm but compassionate: participants are held accountable to the program’s standards while being supported every step of the way.

How It Works

1. Structured Assignments:
Volunteer opportunities are carefully designed and approved by the Do Good On Purpose leadership team. Assignments take place both within the DGOP community and in the broader public.

2. Supervised Service:
Every assignment is overseen to ensure participants are learning, contributing, and progressing with accountability.

3. Direct Progress Toward Homeownership:
Each completed volunteer-hour counts toward the 2,100 required service hours. Typical schedule is 10-18 hours/week for 2 years. Upon fulfillment, participants are awarded the deed to their tiny home.

Future Collaborative Opportunities

Although HumanKind Helps is primarily for program participants, future collaborative events will invite supporters, donors, churches, and companies to engage alongside participants.
